Laura Pohl Customer Experience Story
How can museums, galleries, and historic sites provide visitors with a fresh, interactive experience? For exhibitions everywhere, including the work of humanitarian photographer Laura Pohl, the answer is mobile technology.
“I know it really made a difference,” says Pohl in reference to Engage by Cell’s audio tour services. In her photography exhibit, “A Long Separation”, visitors used smartphones to listen to personal stories of South Koreans separated from their families since the Korean War.
“It helped visitors experience the exhibition in a more visceral way,” reports Pohl.
After seeing big-name clients listed on the Engage by Cell website, Pohl was concerned that a mobile audio tour would be too expensive. “It turned out it is quite affordable,” Pohl commented.
Mobile technology eliminated the need for expensive signage and allowed visitors to experience Pohl’s art in a more personal way.
